Bulk Clerk - Lassen s Natural Foods

Summary:

A Bulk Clerk is responsible for supporting all Bulk Department operations, performing a range of duties that encompass maintenance, packing, stocking, and preparing all packaged bulk items for display. The role involves

maintaining a clean work environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and organization.

Bulk Clerks are responsible for obtaining or receiving merchandise, effectively stocking shelves, and assisting the Bulk Manager with inventory orders. They also play a crucial role in creating and maintaining organized, merchandised displays that adhere to Lassens' merchandising standards.

Bulk Clerks are expected to provide outstanding customer service, addressing any guest inquiries with a basic knowledge of natural foods and basic Nutritional Supplements, including vitamins, herbs, amino acids, sports nutrition,

food supplements, and health and beauty aids.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Ensure quality and proper presentation of all packaged bulk items

2. Follow all food safety regulations including proper labeling, dating, storage and rotation

3. Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner

4. Ensure cleanliness of the bulk area at all times.

5. Receive, unload, and stock merchandise as needed throughout the day.

6. Follows and enforces “Lassen's Market Stocking & Facing Policy”.

7. Follows and enforces “Lassen's Special Order Policy & Procedures”.

8. Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.

9. Provides outstanding customer service and answers Guest’s questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.

10. Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.

11. Keeps record of sales, prepares inventory of stock, and orders merchandise.

12. All other duties assigned by management, such as stocking and facing in the Market department.

Qualifications:

1. CA Food Handlers' Card
