We are looking for a Maintenance Technician - Team Lead to manage maintenance operations, supporting our facilities maintenance operations. This position is ideal for a proactive leader with strong facility maintenance experience and remote management skills.
Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician - Team Lead, you will oversee maintenance activities for multiple facilities while working remotely. You will lead a team of technicians, coordinate maintenance schedules, and manage vendor relationships to ensure our facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role involves both hands-on virtual oversight and coordination of on-site maintenance staff and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead, support, and remotely supervise a team of on-site maintenance technicians.
• Coordinate daily maintenance tasks, assign work orders, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Provide remote training, coaching, and performance evaluations for technicians.
• Conduct virtual team meetings and check-ins to review schedules and resolve issues.
• Facility Maintenance Oversight:
• Remotely monitor maintenance schedules, preventive maintenance tasks, and repair needs across multiple locations.
• Oversee inspections, safety checks, and ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
• Coordinate and approve routine and emergency repairs through remote communication with on-site teams.
• Manage documentation for inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities using remote software tools.
• Vendor & Contract Management:
• Coordinate with external service providers for specialized maintenance services (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire systems).
• Oversee vendor performance and negotiate contracts to ensure quality service./search and find contract opportunities.
• Manage inventory of spare parts, supplies, and equipment needed for facility upkeep.
• Reporting & Compliance:
• Monitor maintenance KPIs, track work order completion, and report on performance metrics.
• Ensure all facilities adhere to safety protocols and industry standards.
• Conduct virtual audits and inspections to maintain high standards of facility management.

Qualifications
• High school diploma, college degree preferred or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in facility maintenance, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience managing remote teams and coordinating facility maintenance from a distance.
• Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with remote management tools, facility management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote environment.
