We are seeking skilled Building Maintenance Technicians to join our team in Portland, OR, and Tampa, FL.
Position Overview:
We are looking for reliable and experienced Building Maintenance Technicians to ensure the quality, safety, and smooth operation of our facilities. The ideal candidate will handle a wide range of maintenance tasks, repairs, and upkeep of building systems. This role requires both technical skills and the ability to work independently to maintain our facilities at the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage secure storage of spare parts and keep inventory of maintenance supplies
- Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on HVAC, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment including air compressors, refrigerators, and pressure washers
- Repair and maintain fixtures such as lighting, outlets, and signage
- Perform general plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and replacing faucets
- Conduct light carpentry repairs, painting, drywall patching, and door maintenance
- Handle minor IT tasks including installing hardware, low-voltage cabling, and coordinating with technical support for phone and data issues
- Perform landscaping duties, including mowing, weeding, and parking lot maintenance
- Conduct pest control treatments to address insects, rodents, and other pests
- Oversee fire system checks, including fire bottle inspections, eye wash stations, and AED certifications
- Coordinate deliveries from vendors and manage subcontractors for specialized maintenance services
- Maintain documentation of inspections, repairs, and equipment status
- Respond promptly to safety and security issues to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning common areas and maintaining restrooms
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in electrical, HVAC, or plumbing preferred
- 2+ years of experience in facility maintenance or related field
- Basic knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry
- Must have or be willing to obtain licenses in specialty areas as required
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance equipment
- Basic IT skills for troubleshooting and hardware installations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
