Job Details
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage building operations and maintenance for 24/7/365 support, covering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and security systems across all locations.
2. Ensure facilities operate within regulatory standards, including backflow prevention, emergency testing, and environmental compliance.
3. Implement preventive maintenance and energy-efficient practices to extend asset life.
4. Oversee Central Supply operations, ensuring efficient inventory, storage, and accountability.
5. Manage the vehicle fleet, including maintenance and replacement schedules.
6. Track and report on KPIs to improve facility and materials management.
7. Develop and monitor budgets, manage equipment orders, and request capital expenditures.
8. Serve as the expert for Building Management Systems and develop operating procedures.
9. Ensure permits and inspections comply with legal requirements.
10. Supervise staff, training them on job responsibilities and ensuring labor efficiency.
11. Oversee external contractors and custodial services, ensuring high standards and performance.
12. Manage facility safety and ADA compliance, collaborating with OSHA and other officials.
13. Plan and oversee facility projects, prepare bids, and manage contractor work.
14. Develop safety training programs for OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and other compliance standards.
15. Project and plan future facility needs as part of strategic planning.
16. Coordinate and schedule conference facilities for internal and external events.

Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with MS Office, HRIS, and payroll software.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and ability to manage conflicts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities or Materials Management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or 10+ years of experience in similar roles.
- 7+ years in Facilities and Materials Management with 5+ years in a managerial role.
- Facilities Management Professional (FMP) or Certified Facility Manager (CFM) preferred.
- Valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.
