Job Details
Overview: As a BAS Controls Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in programming, engineering, installing, and commissioning Building Automation Systems (BAS). Your responsibilities will include managing assigned projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery, and maintaining quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of HVAC systems, control programming, and project management skills, allowing for efficient execution and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing software code and managing all aspects of the software code delivery and commissioning for commercial HVAC control systems and Building Automation Systems.
- Ability to program projects with various levels of complexity, including custom control programs and sequence of operations
- Technical education and/or trade related experience
- Capable of performing network troubleshooting, database troubleshooting and repair programming.
- Collaborates with engineering team on system configuration, network and software requirements, graphics, programming and sequence of operations as it pertains to assigned projects.
- Configure Supervisor computer, graphics, database, network and integrations
- Develop programming, graphics, and sequences of operations for DDC systems.
- Maintain accurate and thorough project documentation
- Record and communicate deviations to the project team.
- Execute system commissioning and functional testing and documentation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, but not required
- 3+ years of Tridium Niagara experience, including custom programming.
- 5+ years of HVAC controls experience.
- Experience with one or more of the following platforms: Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, Distech, Tridium Niagara, Siemens, Trane, Delta Controls, Automated Logic, or other
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both new and existing electrical control systems.
- Expertise in engineering HVAC controls solutions and providing thorough as-built documentation.
- Proven ability to establish strong working relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
