Hunton Trane is seeking results oriented System Sales Engineer to join our team in Houston, TX zip code: 77042.
This is a full-time, exempt outside sales position with minimal direction. The Outside Salesperson shall work as a technical sales consultant to engineers, architects, and owners/developers in the design, application, andsale of HVAC environmental systems solutions for commercial, industrial and institutional buildings and processes. It expected that the salesperson will build and maintain long-term relationships with industry customers, accounts, andthe manufacturers.
DUTIES
Aggressively pursues systems, equipment and building automation controls sales using all of one's initiative, persistence, ingenuity, creativity, people, business and technical skills.
Gains the customer trust by demonstrating and constantly improving technical skills.
Develops multiple relationships with key players in a customer's organization, including senior and junior project engineers, project managers, management, executive, construction, financial, and purchasing personnel.
Influences the design of integrated HVAC comfort and building automation systems.
Responds to customer needs promptly by identifying applicable systems and products, generating quotes and closing orders.
Assists customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane, andnon-Trane products, and system application alternatives, building automation, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution.
Conducts and attends customer visits and customer events to build relationships with key accounts.
Conducts formal presentations and training sessions with individual customers or customer groups.
Maintains accurate customer data and activity tracking in Company CRM program.
Regularly attends and participates in internal company training and seminars to improve technical, business and/or people skills.
Regularly entertains customers to include overnight trips, lunches, luncheon presentations, or whatever the customer reasonably desires for entertainment.
Actively participates in community professional organizations to improve professional skills and build long-term relationships (ASHRAE, USGBC, etc...)
Conducts and/or assists generation of price estimates and quotations for projects and tracks these projects and current orders.
Manages plan and specification takeoffs, selection, pricing, bidding, negotiating and closing business.
Observes Company ethical and professional conduct of business policies.
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required to achieve sales and income goals and quotas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering froma four-yearcollege or university.
Successful completion of the Trane Graduate Graining program.
The equivalentcombination of education and five years of applicable sales experience.
Must have valid driver's license
