Position Summary
Under close supervision performs maintenance and repairs, alterations to the building automation control system hardware adhering to all safety rules.
- The successful candidate will work from the Home Office, Erie PA.
- The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, with normal business hours.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists BAS Field Tech II, Electricians and HVAC Technicians to install, calibrate, adjust, troubleshoot and repair electric or pneumatic building controls, lighting panels, frequency drives, for HVAC and Lighting, utility, or system metering and monitoring, including conduits, cable trays, junction boxes, wire pulling and low voltage termination.
- Performs preventative maintenance of BAS systems after installation, including electrical circuits, field device and support hardware, cleaning of cabinets and related spaces, maintaining proper inventories for service support.
- Works closely with BAS Field Tech II, HVAC , Electricians, to check performance and system efficiencies , including using proper instruments to set fluid flow rates, temperature controls, pressure controls, calibrate, etc. to meet or improve performance requirements.
- Learns the operation of the Johnson Controls Metasys System and various other building automation systems.
- Enrollment of BAS Technical Trade School or Equivalent Johnson Controls Metasys Training Courses.
- Must be willing to respond to emergencies or situations needing immediate attention that may occur outside of regular schedule.

Qualifications
Minimum Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Experience
- Three years experience working knowledge of proper procedures in operating low voltage equipment and in installation and maintaining telecommunications equipment required.
- Thorough knowledge of proper safety procedures and the National Electrical Code required.
- Working knowledge of electronics required.
Designations and/or Licenses
- Valid drivers' license with clean driving history required.
