About the Job
Our well-established client is currently seeking a Build and Integration Engineer to join their growing team. This is a temp-to-hire hybrid position located near Albany, NY.
Responsibilities of the Build and Integration Engineer will include:
- Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes.
- Automate and maintain operational processes with precision and in compliance with security standards.
- Support and maintain data and application integration platforms.
- Actively troubleshoot issues during testing and production, resolving problems before launch.
- Create, maintain, and update technical documentation and procedures.
- Prepare accurate project time estimates and manage tasks to meet deadlines.
- Develop maintenance plans and upgrade schedules for Application Support systems.
- Collaborate with partners and vendors to facilitate data exchanges.
- Work with source control systems such as GIT and SVN.
- Stay current with industry trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Plan for and deploy new software versions, upgrades, and patches.
- Attend professional conferences and training courses as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Build and Integration Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or an associate degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
- At least two years of experience with one or more of the following:
- Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef for automation and configuration.
- Linux/Unix, Windows, and/or AWS administration.
- Container technology tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
- Two years of experience with databases such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL.
- Preferred familiarity with ETL tools and application integration platforms.
- Preferred experience with project management and workflow tools.
- Preferred experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, and Groovy.
- Excellent organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex written information.
- Apply critical thinking skills to address unique issues and situations.
- Effectively write and present information to various constituents.
Pay for this position is commensurate with experience and education, ranging roughly from $100,000 - $115,000.
