Position: Budget and Financial Analyst II
Status: Full-Time Hourly (4hours)
Location: Washington, DC
Hours: 5 days per week, from 8am-5pm (1-hour lunch)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports budget formulation and budget execution activities. Prepares regular and special budget reports and analyze monthly department budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls. Determines the feasibility of automating government financial business practices. Assist in defining and executing governmental financial business practices and incorporate the defined processes into an automated solution Must be able to communicate with both IT- and financial-oriented individuals to document the flow, recommend opportunities, influence recommendations, and serve as the liaison between the financial specialist and automation specialist that do not have both disciplines. Applies sound accounting and data processing principles while developing automated processes to fit an existing financial application. BS/BA degree in business, management or related field (or equivalent) plus approximately 4 years of related experience.

• Skill in greeting and interacting with people in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Skill in operating computers and printers to produce a wide range of documents.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Friendly and personable with excellent telephone etiquette.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• This position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, in a home office as well as an in-person office environment.
• Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds
• This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking.
