We are currently seeking:
A budget analyst II to join our team to coordinate and perform a variety of technical functions involving the preparation and maintenance of the City's annual budget; liaise with City departments regarding the budget process; compile and analyze budget/financial data; process budget amendments; and assist City departments in resolving various types of financial issues
Your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in preparing and maintaining the City's annual operating budget.
- Assisting in coordinating budget activities with City departments.
- Compiling and analyzing budgetary information and various types of financial data.
- Preparing and processing budget amendments upon approval by the City Council.
- Responding to budget inquiries from City departments and personnel.
- Assisting in researching and resolving a variety of financial issues.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.

Requirements and Skills:
- Providing assistance in preparing and maintaining the City's annual operating budget.
- Coordinating with City departments regarding the budget process.
- Compiling and analyzing budgetary/financial data.
- Responding to budget inquiries and assisting City departments in resolving financial issues.
- Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with other staff, City departments, and outside agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; and two years' governmental finance experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Licenses or Certifications:
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver License.
- Applicants with an out-of-state driver license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Work is typically performed in a standard office environment.
