Budget Analyst - Defense
What We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Budget Analyst to help support a Defense customer in a wide range of financial, budget, resource, and program management activities.
Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Active SECRET Clearance or higher.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of Federal accounting and/or audit experience.
- DoD experience.
- Must live in greater Washington D.C. region: Virginia, the District, or Maryland.
Skills:
- Assist in the planning, programming, and execution of Agency resource allocations.
- Prepare Daily Agency Status of Funds (SOF) report and coordinate with Directorates to correct imbalances.
- Provide execution data for Weekly Activities Report (WAR) which is submitted to OSD every Thursday.
- Perform control realignments for the Agency Reserve account in Joint Integrated Analytic Platform (JICAP).
- Strong MS Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Data Analysis and Lookup)
- Support budget analysts, financial managers, and budget contributors in preparation of program and budget requests and exhibits.
- Using established systems and databases, assist budget analysts and financial managers in processing program adjustments.
- Assist in the development of enhancements, initiatives, and other financial tools for program, budget, and exhibit preparation.
- Document development efforts and produce guides, job aids and other information to support the Agency’s program and budget management system and other financial tools (to include but not limited to DAI, Joint Integrated CBRN Analytic Platform (JICAP), and ADVANA.
- Support the Funds Control Branch in tracking Unresourced Requirements (URR) via the Agency’s URR SharePoint site.
- Support the Financial Management Branch by tracking and recording Funding Authorization Documents (FAD) and entering FAD data into Program Budget Allocation System (PBAS) and Electronic Fund Distribution System (EFD).
- Provide support to Financial Managers by conducting research and analysis on budget and financial management related policies and issues.
Preferred:
- DoD PPBE experience desired
- CDFM or CGFM/DoD FM certification
