ACES is seeking an experienced DoD staff Action Officer to assist the DoD CIO. Specifically, the position supports the Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity developing and providing oversight to the budget for Cyberspace Activities throughout the DoD. Successful candidates will be an organized self-starter capable of performing tasks without the need for constant oversight and have experience successfully working in a team environment.

OPPORTUNITY
- Contract Length: Solid work - have been supporting client for over 15 years.
- Work Location: Mark Center (Arlington, VA)
- Clearance: Active TS/SCI or TS adjudicated within the past 2 years required
- Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree (preferably in Budget or Finance) with 5 years of relevant experience
- Start Date: As soon as possible
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze financial data related to operations, business performance, and investments
- Consolidate complex technical program descriptions and strategy into simple language for official reports
- Support the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process within DoD CIO
- Review funding lines and correlate capability program guidance submissions to strategy requirements
- Work closely with service and agency officials to collect budget data on specific program elements
- Support the creation of an annual budget certification report for the DoD CIO
- Review, edit, and format written policy, guidance, and instructions
- Track process deliverables and milestones to meet deadlines
- Draft briefings, meeting notes, and coordination materials
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Cognizant of current DoD budgetary principles and their associated operational impact
- Familiarity with Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submission process with DoD organizations and or Military services
- Experience writing and researching within DoD Appropriations and budget documents
- Experience with planning or programming of RDT&E, Procurement, and O & M funding at an OSD level
- Experience with IT or Cyberspace activities programming within the DoD is highly desired.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
