Position Summary
We are seeking candidates who are passionate about managing and supporting the Fort Johnson Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC) training requirements. The position is full-time and exempt.
The selected candidate will work on site at the JRTC Training, Analysis, and Feedback Facility (TAFF) on Fort Johnson, LA. The person in this role will assist the Brigade TAFF Leader with supervising, training, and leading all assigned TAFF personnel in a high OPTEMPO environment; ensure data collection and analysis of all assets are completed in accordance with the Task Force (TF) Seniors Data Collection Plan; assist the TF active duty personnel with all operations within the limits of the Performance Work Statement (PWS); assist the Brigade TAFF Leader in the production of After Action Review (AAR) products and to perform Quality Control (QC) of all Brigade TAFF products before they are given to the customer; possess a good working knowledge of the MS Office suite of programs (i.e., PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook); able to communicate effectively and professionally with TF Seniors; able to work shift with extended hours, up to 12 hours per shift, when needed to accomplish the mission; perform the duties of the Brigade TAFF Leader during the TAFF Leader’s absence and other duties as assigned; able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.

Requirements and Qualifications:
- Possess five (5) years of Active Duty or Reserve experience commensurate with the position, or five (5) years of experience as a TAFF Analyst
- Possess an AA degree
- Possess an understanding of commonly used USAF and US Army tactical acronyms, abbreviations, pro-words, and map symbols
- Experience in operating the JRTC-Instrumentation System for digital data and video entry, retrieval, and manipulation
- Experience collecting and cataloging exercise information for use by Observer Controller Trainers (OCT) in AARs
- Graduate of the US Army Senior Leader Course or Captains Career Course or other service equivalent
- US Citizenship and fluency in the English language is required
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance
- Travel expected to be less than 10%
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
- Possess valid state driver’s license and maintain post driving privileges
- Able to operate a computer for extended times
- Able to work independently with minimal guidance
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Experienced in collecting, tracking, cataloging, and analyzing rotational training exercise info and reports
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a battle simulation SME and coach for US Army unit participating in Command Post Exercises (CPX)
- Active Duty or Reserve experience in a US Army Combat Arms Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) or other service equivalent
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a TAFF Analyst in the JRTC Operations Center Branch
- Graduate of the US Army Battle Staff NCO Course or one of the following schools: Basic Officer Leader Course, Captains Career Course, Master Leader Course, or Sergeants Major Course or other service equivalent
- Former Combat Training Center (CTC) Observer Controller Trainer (OCT)
