Job Details
We're in search of an Engineering Manager to join our Orlando, FL office within our Transportation Business Unit. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, leveraging their relevant experience to develop professionally into a versatile engineer poised for growth in today's global landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop plans and specifications for transportation structures, adhering to AASHTO and FDOT standards.
- Work collaboratively within a team or lead as a task/project manager, ensuring projects stay within budget and schedule under moderate supervision.
- Generate engineering cost estimates, proposals, and scope of work documents, supporting other Project/Task Managers as needed.
- Provide leadership, technical guidance, and direction to project teams to ensure high-quality technical services.
- Enforce compliance with established quality control standards.
- Complete assigned task-related training.
- Occasional participation in outdoor site visits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; Master of Science in Structures preferred.
- Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) in Florida, or eligibility to obtain within 6 months.
- 8+ years of engineering experience across various bridge types (structural steel, prestressed, cast-in-place concrete).
- Familiarity with FDOT standards, specifications, and design manuals.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software for bridge design.
- Advanced skills in MicroStation and Open Bridge Modeler.
- Strong technical aptitude and interpersonal abilities.
