Tremendous Career Opportunity. Our client is a well-established Architectural firm in Scottsdale, AZ. They are hiring a Project Accountant to join their accounting team.
This is a full-time M-F, in office position (not remote), reporting directly to the Controller.
Responsibilities:
- Provide end-to-end Contract Management from project creation to close-out within Deltek Vision Software. Similar accounting software experience is acceptable.
- Prepare invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all projects, including all applicable backup
- Perform all necessary Accounts Payable (AP) duties, including but not limited to coding, sending out for review approvals, scanning to accounting system, researching vendor payment inquiries, and processing 1099's annually
- Process and reconcile credit card transactions through expense reports
- Monitor receivables and support Partners/Project Managers with collections
- Assist senior management in various ad-hoc analysis as needed
- Identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and offer suggestions for procedures, processes, and/or tools that might improve efficiency and productivity
- Additional accounting responsibilities as needed
- Backup coverage for the front office
Qualifications Required:
- A minimum of (3) three + years of relevant accounting experience, with at least (2) two years of experience within an Architecture, Engineering or Construction firm
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, or similar field
- Extensive experience with detailed project tracking, client commitments, and invoicing
- Familiarity with AIA contracts and add service agreements
- Deltek Vision experience (preferred). Other similar accounting software experience acceptable; Sage, Timberline acceptable
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written skills and ability to communicate effectively with Project Managers, Senior Level Management, and clients

- Salary range 75K – 85K, Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, 401(k) available after (1) one year of service; can contribute up to 6%, company matches 3.5%
