POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Breast Imaging Service Representative at Boston Medical Center, you will be a vital member of the team and you will interact directly with patients. This role coordinates all aspects of the patient journey through the Breast Imaging Department to improve patients' experience, providing comfort and reassurance and ensuring that the patient is cared for in a timely manner. It requires excellent customer service skills and excellent communication. You will
work directly with patients' including greeting, patient registration, coordinating interpreter services, assisting the technologists in processing images and patient care, completing forms and handling phones.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Breast Imaging
- Assists Front desk staff and Technologists in preparing the patient for the procedure, completing history forms and prepping for the exam.
- Prepares sterile trays for procedures and helps set up and clean up procedure rooms.
- Requires great attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skill.
- Able to interact with all members of the Breast imaging team, referring physicians, Emergency Room and outside clinics.
- Collaborates with other staff to respond to changes in operational flow that affect patient care by adapting own pace and schedule.
Patient Care and Safety
- Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their safety, comfort, and modesty at all times
- Monitor patients in sub waiting area's and assists technologist with room turnover.
- Ability to comprehend and converse in English to communicate effectively with interpreters, staff, patients, family and external customers.
- Acts as a resource for patients and families with questions and concerns regarding their exams.
Administrative
- Acts as a liaison with the Belkin Breast Clinic
- Plans the daily schedule of diagnostic and interventional procedures, assigning exams to Radiologists.
- Handle requests for services via phone, email, or other means with professionalism
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- CPR certification preferred, will obtain within first 120 days
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of previous experience involving customer service preferred
- Previous experience with direct patient interaction is preferred
