The Brand Protection Specialist supports the BP Manager and Sr. BP Specialists with responsibilities, tasks and activities such as enforcement efforts against trademark misuse, copyright and trademark infringement, misrepresentations, phishing and false claims and related financial matters and processing invoices and provides status reports for review by Managers.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitors and conducts surveillance ETS brands in the market or online globally, through organic and platform crawlers. Understands the benefits of different search methodologies and employs them correctly.
- Communicates directly with website owners and social media platforms (drafting letters, submitting takedown notices, and tracking responses).
- Strong ability to deescalate issues post-enforcement with infringing entities and troubleshoot issue resolution.
- Processes invoices, coordinates payments, maintains payment files and related invoice databases.
- Analyzes and interprets data for infringement reporting and makes recommendations on reporting (or designs reports) to managers.
- Independently responds to Brand Protection related questions from other ETS Division staff.
- Identifies work process improvements and/or cost saving measures and implement as approved by BP Manager.
- With little oversight, drafts and submits cease & desist letters and takedown complaints.
- Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function.

Required Experience:
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
- Chinese and/or Arabic/Farsi at a Professional or Advanced Professional Proficiency Level required
- Ability to manage many diverse, complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong team member/team player, ability to understand how individual contribution fits into greater strategy and make connections to business impact.
- Stays abreast of ETS products/services in order to provide necessary protection with regard to intellectual property registration, renewals, and permission use.
- Demonstrates proficient English oral and written communication skills appropriate for interaction with all levels of management, internal clients, and coworkers, promoting accuracy, efficiency, objectivity, fairness, courtesy, and ETS mission and values.
- Well-developed research and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational methodology and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient using Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required, Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Paralegal or IP related certification is a plus.
Minimum of three (3) years experience in an international corporate setting with copyright and trademark infringement investigations and enforcement.
