The Brand Manager is responsible for the development and execution of marketing strategies across commercial operations to achieve the financial and market share objectives. They lead the go-to-market planning behind innovation launches, promotional activations, traditional and digital media and 6P strategies for omni-channel customers. They are critical in creating and driving the execution of revenue growth management and simplification opportunities for the brand.
What You Will Do:
_Brand Strategy_
+ Develop omni-channel marketing, communication and media strategies using insights & analytics to drive share growth
+ Identify issues / opportunities, analysis and propose action plans to achieve the objectives of the brand
+ Manage brand P&L and A&P budgets
+ Brand and key segment product portfolio management
+ Lead new product launch strategies
+ Participate in strategic brand planning and overall brand communications plans
+ Gain Senior Mgt alignment to brand strategies and go-to-market plans
+ Manage large cross-functional teams to lead commercialization efforts
_Go-to-Market & IMC Communications_
+ Develop and lead omni-channel execution and go-to-market strategies for new product launches, quarterly tentpole activations, key growth categories and strategic business initiatives
+ Lead the creative development of brand marketing IMC’s
+ Develop & monitor media campaigns across traditional (TV, Print, Radio) and digital platforms
+ Develop strategic 6P marketing plans and important metrics
+ Work closely with the Retail Marketing and Business Development Managers to facilitate successful implementation of initiatives
+ Identify & lead key “test and learn” opportunities
+ Drive the execution of margin improvement and revenue growth management initiatives
_Insights & Analytics_
+ Analyze data (sales, competitive, category) and identify key insights that can be turned into measurable marketing plans
+ Develop strong business and functional understanding of the category, our products and the competitive set, and develop plans to address issues/opportunities
+ Develop & utilize strong consumer & shopper insights of the category, market and condition of focus.
+ Understand the pet specialty retail environments and field team needs, to deliver strong promotional and marketing programs.
+ Commercial Planning and Monitoring
+ Support Long Lead Planning, Budget Review, and Mid-Year Review
+ Ongoing monitoring and analysis on brand sales, volume, market share, promotional activities, competitive insights
+ Recommend areas for brand improvement and remediation
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Science Quantitative Disciplines or a Related Subject
+ 3+ years of brand marketing, retail marketing or commercial agency experience
+ Critical thinking & problem solving
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to uncover measurable insights in large datasets
+ Brand marketing knowledge
+ Effective communicator
+ Ability to achieve operational results
+ Influence independently, negotiate effectively and build relationships with cross functional team members
_Preferred Qualifications_
+ Master's Degree in Business Administration
+ 2+ years of marketing experience in Animal Healthcare or Human Healthcare
+ Digital/eComm marketing knowledge (paid search, digital display, social, etc)
+ Knowledge of Retail Environment strategy
+ Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and handle ambiguity
+ CPG marketing experience

Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $116,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD
Pay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.
Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:
+ Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
+ Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
+ Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
+ Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
+ Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
+ Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
