This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Brand Industrial Designer. This role will be based in Benton Harbor, MI.
As a brand industrial designer you will create the future look and feel of a suite of home appliances for our portfolio of brands. You will translate brand pillars, emotions and consumer insights into compelling design narratives and product design directions. You will work across functions to develop the core design elements for production and lead the documentation of final design strategies.

Your responsibilities will include
- Define the appropriate aesthetic space for a suite of home appliances through mood boards and storytelling
- Create product design concepts through sketching and 3D modeling
- Coordinate cross disciplinary design workshops
- Produce high quality presentations with realistic renderings
- Prototype design elements with model shops
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design
- 3+ years of professional design experience in a corporate or consultant environment
Preferred skills and experiences
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines
- 3D Computer modeling skills
- Visual communication skills
- Keen interest in design trends
- Animation skills
