JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior Designer will report to the Art Director and will be responsible for flawlessly executing brand designs across multiple channels. Working with the Art Director and copy partners, the designer will help turn strategy into Product and beautiful visual solutions that elevate their brand. This job is both supervisory (20-40%) and hands on (60-80%), involving taking projects from design through production (digital, print, social, and/or video).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Collaborates with the Art Director or Associate Creative Director to develop concepts, layouts, and visual solutions, for print, social, digital, and video.
Effectively partners with copy to bring brand narratives to life visually.
Can independently synthesize marketing strategy in creative briefs and then deliver high-quality designs to meet project objectives.
Partners with the Art Director to develop of brand visual standards and maintains a consistent brand identity across projects.
Generates storyboards that clearly turn concepts into compelling visual stories, as well as provide effective visual direction to video editors.
Supports the Art Director with photo and video shoot preparation, including shot selection, backgrounds, and styling for wardrobe, hair, and makeup.
Maintains project files in good form (i.e., all assets packaged, and versions of files saved to proper locations).
Prepares files for print and/or digital production (i.e., effectively builds files to requirements, with minimal revisions during production process from vendors or developers).
Supervises designers to ensure they deliver their projects on time, on strategy, and within budget.
Can direct and manage vendors for print production, illustration, and photoretouching.
Proactively manages their workload and those they oversee.
Helps lead organizational efforts to maintain the asset library with the Art Director and Associate Director library.
Helps mentor direct reports with the Art Director or Associate Creative Director.
Showcases an always-on curiosity and staying up to date on trends within industry, communications, and art world in general.
WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHSYICAL DEMANDS:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to manage mental demands of a deadline-driven, team environment, in which occasional surges of work may be accompanied by tight timelines.

EXPERIENCE:
> 7+ years experience of design at an agency or in-house team.
A diverse portfolio showing strong aesthetic POV, ideally including brand identity, video, print, digital, and social experience.
Intimate knowledge of Figma (or Adobe Sketch) and Adobe Creative Suite.
UX/UI design experience, as well as working knowledge of front-end web technologies, a plus (HTML, CSS, working in Salesforce email platform).
Working knowledge of video (e.g., Premiere, After Effects) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote) a plus.
