About the Job
The Merchandiser/Brand Ambassador plays a crucial role in maximizing product visibility and sales within retail stores. This role is twofold and involves ensuring products are displayed attractively, inventory is well-managed, and promotional materials are effectively utilized to drive customer engagement and purchase decisions, as well as consumer facing and executing demos to drive trial and awareness for the Nounos brand.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure products are stocked, fronted, and faced according to company standards.
- Build and maintain attractive displays, endcaps, and promotional setups.
- Maintain a clean and organized appearance of shelves and displays.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential stockouts or overstocks.
- Rotate stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste (especially for perishable goods).
- Receive and verify incoming merchandise.
- Assist with stock takes and inventory audits.
Promotional Execution:
- Implement promotional campaigns and price changes.
- Set up and maintain point-of-sale (POS) materials, signage, and displays.
- Ensure promotional materials are current and in good condition.
Store Relationships:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with store personnel.
- Communicate effectively with store managers regarding stock levels, displays, and promotions.
- Address any issues or concerns promptly.
Brand Ambassador:
- Engage with consumers through execution of demos while actively promoting and demonstrating our products and other marketing activities
- Collect customer feedback and insights to share with the marketing and sales
- team.
- Maintain a positive and professional image at all times.
- Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and company information.
Reporting & Communication:
- Conduct in store audits reports on merchandising activities, including photos of displays and feedback on store conditions.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in merchandising, retail, or a related field is preferred.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Technology: Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (may be required for travel between stores).
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends (may be required depending on store hours).
