The Branch Manager leads a team of employees to operate the distributor store and warehouse; has Profit and Loss responsibility; may call on key customer accounts. The Branch Manager is responsible for growing revenue and margin for his/her location and exceeding customer needs.
Responsibilities include
- Manage daily store and warehouse operations by achieving sales and profitability goals.
- Exceed customer service levels.
- Manage all store employees, including the sales team.
- Recruit, hire, train and discipline the team within the framework of company policy.
- Maintain inventory levels and accuracy and ensure company assets are properly managed.
- Communicate effectively and lead by example with their team, customers, vendors and leadership.
- Prepare estimates and proposals
- Ensure essential tasks including merchandizing, store and warehouse organization, inventory accuracy and financial processes are followed.
A successful candidate should have:
- 5 or more years HVAC experience
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly grow sales in a retail environment.
- Successful experience as a manager of small teams
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer systems including sales and/or inventory management software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possess the ability to quickly assess and resolve problems
