Job Description, Accountabilities, Duties and Tasks
Job Title: Branch Manager
Reports To: General Manager and Sales/Operations Managers
Supervises: Assistant Branch Managers, Customer Service/Sales Representatives, Warehouse/Delivery Personnel
Position Description: This job is a key front-line management position requiring strong leadership skills and a comprehensive, hands-on working knowledge of all Branch operations. Maintains existing business and promotes new business.
Primary Accountabilities:
- Provide leadership direction and supervises all Branch personnel to insure the consistent achievement of Branch/Region sales, profitability, and customer service objectives.
- Supervise and/or perform all Duties and Tasks as assigned to Branch CSR’s. (See attached)
- In concert with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and National Sales Manager, establish sales and profit objectives and supporting action plans for achievement.
- In concert with the Operations Manager, determine inventory levels to support customer/order fulfillment objectives while achieving desired inventory turns.
Duties and Tasks:
- Review daily reports to ensure accurate data entry and order invoicing related to sales and margin objectives.
- Prepare various quote, sales and activity reports as requested by supervisors to evaluate performance and provide other related information.
- Place product orders with the Operations Manager and/or Logistics Manager and/or key vendors to meet local market demands and company inventory objectives.
- Participate in weekly management conference calls and provides sales estimates and updates to local market conditions.
- In conjunction with the RSM, coordinate various vendor/customer training sessions, trade shows and local/regional trade association activities.
- Provide site specification and installation support, including participation by vendors when required by the customer.
- Ensure all Branch activities and personnel work functions are performed in accordance with established process, procedure and instructions as defined in the operating manual.
- Work closely with the EED Office Manager to ensure compliance with all administrative requirements, including the collections process for outstanding accounts receivables.
- Evaluate performance of all Branch personnel according to position standards and make recommendations for changes in compensation and actions necessary for improvement. Take disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Perform all Duties and Tasks as defined in the Job Description for the Customer Service/Sales Representative.
Performance Standards:
- Company, Region, and Branch monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and gross profit objectives.
- Inventory turns.
- Branch operating expenses.
- Order fulfillment.
- Customer satisfaction.
