Branch Manager
Role Overview:
- Primary Objective: The Branch Manager is responsible for managing the branch's operations, ensuring that member services (loans, accounts, etc.) are efficiently and effectively delivered, and that the branch meets organizational goals in terms of financial performance, service quality, and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Member Loan Applications (35%) – Process loan applications, underwrite them in line with policy, and manage follow-ups to disburse loans.
- New Accounts & Services (35%) – Open and promote various products such as CDs, IRAs, and loans, while explaining services to both current and potential members.
- Branch Personnel Management (10%) – Hire, train, and oversee the performance of branch staff, conducting performance reviews and addressing operational needs.
- Operational Monitoring (10%) – Track branch performance against financial and operational objectives and ensure compliance with credit union policies.
- Branch Representation (5%) – Act as the branch's representative in relationships with members and external organizations.
- Other Duties (5%) – Perform additional duties as required.
Performance Expectations:
- Maintain a highly skilled team to meet operational needs.
- Provide professional and accurate member service.
- Meet or exceed the branch's financial and growth goals.
- Foster business partnerships in the community.
- Continuously assess and suggest improvements for branch efficiency and processes.
- Promote a sales culture and coach staff for cross-selling opportunities.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Experience: 3-5 years in a similar role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with a 10-key calculator, keyboard, and good communication skills.
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Physical requirements are minimal, mostly involving office work with light lifting.
- Mental requirements include strong reasoning ability, basic math skills, and good language comprehension.
Work Environment:
- The position involves office work with no significant physical hazards and is not eligible for remote work.
