Compensation: $120k - $130k base salary plus performance based Bonus up to $20k, health insurance, Company Vehicle, PTO, Cell, Laptop and additional perks
Job Summary:
BraveView has been engaged to recruit an experienced Branch Manager to run a $10mm commercial landscape maintenance and snow removal business. Services include Landscape Maintenance, Enhancements, Irrigation, Snow Removal, Tree Services and other services. The maintenance department has a 96% client retention, is highly profitable and the KPI’s to manage the business are defined. The fleet of vehicles and equipment are well maintained and many employees have been with the company for years. The company does participate with the H2B visa program
This is a newly created position as the person who has been building the maintenance department is changing responsibilities and will be focusing on other aspects of the business while being there to transition responsibilities and support this newly hired Branch Manager.
Ideally, we want to hire a team building leader who is experienced with driving the operations for Commercial Maintenance and Snow Management. They need to understand how to manage budgets per service line, P&L Management, Forecasting, KPI Management, a team builder and a great communicator who leads by example and has the safety of their team at the highest level of importance.
Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and direction to the landscape maintenance branch, overseeing all aspects of operations, including personnel management, client relations, and financial performance.
Personnel Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate a team of landscape maintenance supervisors, crew leaders, technicians, and administrative staff. Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, including property managers, homeowners associations, commercial property owners, and municipal entities. Manage Account Managers who serve as the primary point of contact for client communication, addressing inquiries, concerns, and service requests promptly and professionally.
Business Development: Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and expansion within the landscape maintenance market. Develop and implement strategic plans to acquire new clients, increase market share, and maximize revenue.
Project Management: Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of landscape maintenance projects, including enhancements, mowing, pruning, fertilization, weed control, irrigation maintenance, seasonal clean-ups and snow removal. Ensure that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to client specifications and company standards.
Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for the branch. Monitor expenses, labor costs, and revenue to achieve profitability targets and operational efficiency. Implement cost-saving measures and revenue-enhancing strategies as needed.
Quality Control: Ensure that all landscape maintenance services meet or exceed quality standards, industry best practices, and client expectations. Conduct regular inspections of job sites to assess performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the branch, adhering to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies and procedures. Implement safety training programs, conduct safety meetings, and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and injuries.
Vendor and Supplier Management: Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings and quality assurance.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in horticulture, landscape management, business administration, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape maintenance management, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, techniques, and equipment.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans, budgets, and operational goals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and landscape management software.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Landscape Industry Certified Technician (LICT) or similar certifications preferred.
