We are a growing Chicago are Medical Supplies company and we are in search of a Branch Operations Manager.
The Branch Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the branch functions in a fiscally responsible manner while meeting company standards, goals, and policies. This role includes managing staff, monitoring operational quality, maintaining inventory, ensuring vehicle compliance, and fostering a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
Salary: $50,000-$60,000
Key Responsibilities
General Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and train Warehouse Technicians, Medical Service Technicians, and Warehouse Managers.
- Interview, hire, train, and evaluate staff performance. Address behavior issues, resolve grievances, and enforce company policies.
- Conduct weekly team meetings to discuss improvements and performance goals.
- Plan schedules and approve staff PTO to ensure sufficient coverage.
Operational Oversight
- Ensure smooth daily branch operations, including deliveries, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
- Manage and monitor warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance.
- Oversee the tracking, cleaning, repair, and timely maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
- Conduct monthly safety inspections, fire drills, and security alarm testing.
Compliance and Documentation
- Maintain compliance with policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct monthly physical inventories and reconcile discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation of inventory, safety logs, vehicle inspections, and oxygen refill procedures.
- Perform quarterly audits and ensure compliance with HQAA and other policies.
Customer Interaction
- Represent the company professionally with patients, customers, and community organizations.
- Support staff in delivering exceptional patient education and customer service.
Technology and Reporting
- Utilize company-specific software to manage inventory, track equipment, and prepare reports.
- Ensure all staff complete required certifications and e-learning programs.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience (minimum 2 years in a related industry).
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficient in using computers and industry-specific software.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Practical knowledge of inventory management, equipment handling, and warehouse operations.
- Competency in basic math, including algebra and geometry, for practical calculations.
Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for extended periods, lift/move items up to 60 pounds, and perform routine office tasks.
Supervisory and Reasoning Abilities
- Skilled in managing and directing a team, resolving conflicts, and improving processes.
- Adept at analyzing and interpreting information to make informed decisions.
