Position Overview
Responsible for supporting the Finance and Accounting Department and for performing multiple general accounting functions.
- Import sales data into ERP system.
- Oversight of tier and job pricing updates.
- Product setup in point of sale and financial systems.
- Input tickets for material received at the plants.
- Communicates with Plant Operators and Sales Manager to reconcile payments to open invoices.
- Create purchase orders and serve as backup PO Coordinator for Shop Admin.
- Coordinate with line of business contact to verify that goods/services have been received before processing PO goods/services receipts.
- Resolve discrepancies that arise during invoice/PO receipting.
- Responsible for assigned accrual, month-end journal entries, and monthly and quarterly reconciliations maintaining schedules and backup documents.
- Perform, review, reconcile and analyze various inventory accounts.
- Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures.
- Participate in the month end closing process.
- Perform standard and ad hoc analyses.
- Prepare and distribute month end reports.
- Provide accounting support to field personnel.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Support ongoing process improvement.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent in a combination of experience, training and education.
- 2-3 years previous experience in accounting functions.
- Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to GAAP
- Must be able to multi-task, be detailed oriented and possess strong organization skills.
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
Work Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background checks.
- Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (less than 10% of the time).
