Box Truck Driver - TCG Recycling

Summary:  Drive to and from customer locations to obtain incoming and outgoing material. You will be required to work in the warehouse while not driving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Although this may be your primary duty or function, you are expected to be cross-trained in other areas of the business and assist in those areas on an as-needed basis.

• Driving     

• Drive to customer location to palletize and pick up and deliver material back to the facility
• Scan customer assets to excel spreadsheet if on sight verification of products is required
• Deliver material to vendor when required
• Use pallet jack with scale to ensure load is not over any DOT weight limit
• Market research
• Sort incoming shipments
•  Use hand and air tools to disassemble material as necessary
• Data entry into required format
• Occasional mandatory overtime

Requirements: Valid DOT medical card, valid class D driver license, and clean driving record; Successful completion of Background Investigation to include but not limited to Social Security Trace/Validation; Criminal Felony & Misdemeanor Search (all counties of residence), Statewide Criminal Search (all states of residence) and Employment Verification for the past 7 years; Drug Testing; Motor Vehicle Report.   Subject to subsequent random Background Investigation and drug testing.

Physical Demands

• Required to reach with hands and arms
• Required to climb a ladder
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs
• Must be able to push/pull 1000 pounds using a pallet jack
• Must use and /or wear required safety equipment at all times
• Able to hear, see, talk

• Hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
• Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language
• Speaking abilities to frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly
• Must be able to smell chemicals or materials on fire
