About the Job
- The Box Office Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing ticket sales, live entertainment, discrepancies, guest relations and support.
- Build events in the system for event sales, packages, and VIP pre-sales. Integrate dynamic seat tiering per event needs.
- Build ticket audits for artist agencies as requested.
- Handle all incoming calls and requests in regards to ticketing.
- Work with internal departments on ticketing needs (comps, property presales, seat manipulation for production, etc…)
- Schedule ticket sellers. Build events within ticketing software, understand ticket scaling, terminology and fee structures. This includes the coordination of ticket pre-sales, fan clubs and VIP services.
- Help maintain and schedule front of house team members for events.
- Record weekly sales by event. Track daily box office banking activity and credit card sales. Track all box office deposits and resolve any discrepancies with personnel.
- Assist/back-up accounts payable and check disbursement. Assist with non-event related contract renewals.
- Work with touch merchandise for events including count audits and settlements.
- Observe and monitor shows/sets to ensure highest standards of show quality, guest satisfaction, and safety are being achieved; addressing and following up on any observed show quality, guest, or safety issues utilizing the necessary departments.
- Perform opening and/or closing duties for the box office as directed.
- Maintain current knowledge of the entertainment industry landscape, including entertainment trends, key category activity across music, television and entertainment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred but will consider a combination of work experience and education. 2 years previous management experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years current experience working with national acts and specialized live events. Must be able to effectively relay information to all levels of management. Highly effective oral and written communication skills. Ability to give direction in a clear and consistent manner. Working knowledge of entertainment terminology and documentation including contracts and entertainment riders. Experience with event and/or booking software a plus.
- Experience and skill in managing multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment, without loss of attention to detail or temperament.
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Valid US Driver’s license as well as the ability to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a diverse group of people.
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications, proficiency in both web and social media applications.
