Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong proficiency in QuickBooks to join our team. This role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and providing financial insights to support the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Process invoices, payments, and bank deposits accurately and timely.
- Perform regular bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
- Generate financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations (if applicable).
- Prepare and file required tax documents (e.g., sales tax, 1099s) in coordination with external accountants or internal departments.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budget preparation.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Provide support during audits or financial reviews.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of bookkeeping experience, with extensive use of QuickBooks (Online/Desktop).
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Skills:
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and relevant tax regulations.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, time management, and teamwork abilities.
