About the Job
LHH Recruitment Solutions is working with a professional services company that is currently located on the Northwest side of the city and will be moving their office to Elmhurst by the first of the year at the latest. The company is looking to hire a bookkeeper on a temp to hire basis. The company is open to allowing the candidate to work a hybrid schedule until the company moves to it's new location, but once in Elmhurst the role would be 100% onsite. The person taking on this Bookkeeper opportunity would be handling the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Full cycle accounts payable
- Preparing the accounts receivable aging schedule and follow up on outstanding accounts
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
- Post and reconcile cash
- Prepare sales tax filings
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare monthly journal entries
- Some administrative duties as they become available
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent experience is desired
- 4+ years of bookkeeping experience is required (a/p, a/r, and reconciliations)
- Prior experience using QuickBooks is required and intermediate excel skills are required
- 3-4+ years of experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and sales tax filings
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi task.
