Bookkeeper
Job Summary: Vaco has partnered with a Real estate Company and they have an opening for a Bookkeeper to handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and data entry. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This role combines both bookkeeping duties and data entry tasks to support financial operations. This opportunity is on a contract to hire basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions, reconciling accounts, and updating ledgers.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
- Handle data entry tasks related to invoices, receipts, and financial documents.
- Assist with preparing financial reports,
- Maintain and organize financial documents and files in accordance with company policies.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role with data entry responsibilities.
- Experience in the real estate industry is a must
- Familiarity with bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks) and Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines effectively.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
