Job Title: Bookkeeper
Reports to: Controller or Principal Account Manager
Division: Service or Property Management
Job Purpose
Support the Controller/Principal Account Manager and client’s financial department providing
accurate financial accounting, report preparation, analysis, budgeting, and more.
Position Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
The Bookkeeper position’s duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Scanning, naming, and filing documents (paper & electronic).
- Communicating professionally & effectively with clients (written & verbal).
- The day-to-day transactions involving full cycle Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Reconciliation, Account and Audit Reconciliations, Journal Entries, Research, Clean Up, Payroll, and preparation of various accounting reports as well as financial statements.
- Involved in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, compiling, reconciling & printing 1099s, and performing other duties assigned by the Supervisor to support the HR and Finance Departments.
All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications
▪ Daily bookkeeping, payroll & accounting knowledge.
▪ Experience in charts of accounts, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
processes.
▪ Ability to read financial reports and statements.
▪ At least 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the Service industry and/or
Property Management industry.
▪ Experience in QuickBooks and knowledge of Appfolio are a plus.
▪ Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
▪ Good data entry and 10 key skills.
▪ Enjoys, and is productive, working independently as well as within a collaborative team.
▪ Proficient Apple/Mac-based user.
▪ Personable style and "teacher" approach to client communication.
▪ Thrives with a dynamic workload, team, and client base.
▪ Regularly thinks ahead to proactively solve potential issues before they become real issues.
▪ Proven ability and desire to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

Benefits:
- Competitive wages based on experience, with a pay range of $25-30 per hour.
- Eligibility for company medical and dental health benefits for those working over 20 hours per week.
This position is currently part-time and Non-Exempt, requiring 25 hours per week in-person. It is expected to transition to full-time within the next 3-6 months. We seek applicants who can commit to immediate part-time and future full-time availability.
