About the Job
This position is a member of the Blumark Tax Team and is responsible for basic bookkeeping responsibilities as well as some individual tax preparation. Clients may include outside small business clients or assistance with in-house bookkeeping while assisting the Staff Accountants with various projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed
- Credit Card reconciliations
- Gathering and organizing documents for client business audits
- Running payroll for business clients as required
- Data entry and maintenance of financial planning client accounts
- Respond to client inquiries, both internal and external
- Assist with tax preparation duties throughout tax season
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of previous, full-cycle, bookkeeping experience
- Strong organizational skills with proven experience in handling multiple tasks
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Quick Books or similar bookkeeping software
- Customer-service background
- The ability to prioritize projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
