Job Title: Bookkeeper
Company Overview:
Join our dynamic team at our client, a thriving organization that generates around $3 million in annual sales As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Full Cycle Bookkeeper to join our finance department and support our financial operations.
Position Overview:
As a Full Cycle Bookkeeper at our client you will play a vital role in managing our day-to-day accounting processes. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting cycle, from recording transactions to preparing financial statements. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data.
Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed.
Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and prior periods.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
Assist with year-end audit and tax preparation activities.
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in accounting and finance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in full cycle accounting/bookkeeping role.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
CPA certification or progress towards certification is a plus.
