Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper proficient in QuickBooks to manage our company's financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, expense reports, and payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Monitor and report on cash flow and budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Generate custom reports as needed for management.
- Collaborate with external accountants and auditors.
- Stay updated on bookkeeping best practices and relevant software updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop and/or Online versions).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or Google Workspace.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- [Optional] Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- [Optional] Certification in bookkeeping or QuickBooks is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax filings.
