Responsibilities:
- Keep accurate and detailed records of financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
- Process payroll and maintain employee records
- Prepare and file tax forms and necessary financial documents
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels
- Generate financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Communicate with vendors, clients, and employees regarding financial matters
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of accounting principles and software, such as QuickBooks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information
