We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our growing team. The successful candidate will manage financial records, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support the accounting team with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
- Prepare and submit payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Prepare financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Handle tax filings and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify invoices, expenses, and financial documents for accuracy.
- Assist with audits and financial reviews.
- Maintain filing systems for accounting records and financial documents.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Experience with bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with others.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and tax filing is a plus.
