We are looking for a Junior Accountant and bookkeeper to join our team. Candidates must possess a strong background in payroll processing, tax reporting, and accounting procedures. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Starting salary is dependent upon experience. SDC CPAs, LLC is an investigative accounting firm, specialized in analyzing and handling fidelity (including employee dishonesty and employee theft), lack of faithful performance and crime claims for the insurance adjusting and insurance defense industry. SDC provides national and international investigation and forensic accounting services.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit Monthly Reports
- Prepare and submit Quarterly Reports
- Prepare and submit Annual Reports
- Payroll Processing
- Reconcile monthly timecard spreadsheet.
- Maintain records of employee overtime, PTO, and other related data.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports.
- Reconcile bank accounts and transaction reports with QuickBooks.
- Assist with annual financials and tax return preparations as needed.
- Accounts receivable processing
- Assist with office tasks and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing and accounting
- Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of numerous Microsoft Office based software programs, payroll software (Paylocity) and accounting software (QuickBooks)
