NHC is looking for an Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. Join our family-oriented atmosphere! The qualified applicant for this position will be an organized self-starter with excellent time management skills and a positive attitude.
Duties include:
- Vouchering invoices
- Preparing weekly check run
- Communicating with vendors and partners with regards to purchases
- Preparing month end books for submission to home office
- Other various tasks related to accounts payable.
Position Highlights:
- Develop and maintain the bookkeeping records necessary to properly account for the transactions in the operation of the business.
- Assist with monthly revenue process.
- Classify and record expenses of operations.
- Assist families and/or patients with claims and statement questions.
- Prepare accurate and timely Accounting transactions and reports.
- Safeguard and record cash receipts and disbursements.
- Maintain, record and document transactions for personnel and payroll systems.
- Other duties as required by the Business Office Manager and the Administrator.
This position may also include receptionist duties at front desk and various other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in insurance verification, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll.
- Possess good communication skills with attention to detail.
- Be able to work effectively and thoroughly with patients and families.
- Be well-organized, persistent and work as a team player with other departments.
