Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for someone seeking stability in a Bookkeeper role. If you’re highly motivated and enjoy working independently, this may be the right fit for you. You will also be able to work with a supportive and highly collaborative team to solve any client issues.
What the job entails:
- Provide bookkeeping support on client financial statements, including following the internal process and documentation procedures for:
- Downloading bank, brokerage and credit card statements to appropriate company folders
- Syncing bank and credit cards transactions into QuickBooks
- Classifying transactions in QuickBooks
- Utilizing Microsoft OneNote for monthly, quarterly and annual checklists
- Adding final financial statements to the quarterly estimates folder each quarter
- Assist with performing bill pay for clients
- Manage vendor relationships, requests, and payments timely
- Prepare other, ad-hoc client deliverables
- Proactively manage internal firm deadlines
- Proactively prioritize and manage tasks and projects assigned and keep them moving along through the review process and to completion
- Maintain accountability for themselves and all work products
- Reconcile Accounts Payable/Receivable every month
Qualifications:
- 3 years+ experience as a Bookkeeper, Accounting Clerk, or related accounting role
- Proficiency in accounting software (namely bill.com and QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred
- QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification preferred
- Deep understanding of AP/AR principles and practices
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Possess a professional demeanor and be a positive thinker
- High level of accuracy and strong quantitative skills, along with the highest level of ethics, honesty, and integrity
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management and organization skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Exhibit professionalism and maintain client confidentiality
- Results driven, self-starter who likes to take on new challenges
- Ability to work effectively both individually and with a team
Physical + Work Environment Requirements:
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
- A quiet, undisturbed working space to preserve and maintain client confidentiality
