We are actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Contract Bookkeeper to join our fast-paced finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for you to showcase your financial acumen and ability to work with numbers. You will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and financial reporting, and a deep understanding of financial accounting and financial analysis. Proficiency in QuickBooks, general ledger, financial statements, and budgeting is crucial for this role. With your 3+ years of experience and your passion for numbers, you will play a key role in maintaining our financial health and making sure we meet our fiscal goals.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and update accounting records and files
2. Analyze budgets and create expense reports
3. Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns
4. Conduct regular financial analysis
5. Create monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
6. Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports
7. Manage the full cycle of accounting activities for the company
8. Collaborate with the financial team and other departments to align financial management with short and long-term financial planning and projections
9. Review financial data regularly to ensure accuracy
10. Use QuickBooks to manage and process invoices and payments
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2. 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
4. Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles
5. Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
6. Ability to analyze and present complex financial reports
7. Professional written and verbal communication skills
8. Strong time management and organization skills
9. Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
10. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision
11. Experience in creating financial statements and budgeting
12. Familiarity with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
