The ideal candidate will have a knack for accurately recording numerical data, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and a passion for numbers and financial information. Your role will involve managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will also work closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a knack for accurately recording numerical data, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and a passion for numbers and financial information. Your role will involve managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. You will also work closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports and ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments.
Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct daybook, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage
- Perform partial checks of the posting process
- Complete tax forms
- Enter data, maintain records, and create reports and financial statements
- Process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner
- Handle monthly payroll using accounting software
- Reconcile bank statements
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping experience with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role, preferably in the Manufacturing industry
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Experience with payroll processing
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is a plus
