Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant
Phoenix Pro Connect is assisting a fast-growing CPA firm in Fort Lauderdale looking to expand their practice by adding a skilled Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant to their team.
Job Description: We are seeking a knowledgeable accounting professional with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting to support a dynamic and growing practice.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform after-the-fact monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting services, including client communication to complete tasks.
- Prepare and file sales tax returns on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Prepare and file payroll taxes on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including year-end tie-outs to tax returns.
- Handle workers' compensation and general liability audits as needed.
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative tasks as required.
- Respond promptly to IRS notices and ensure timely resolutions.
Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of accounting experience is required.
- Prior experience in public accounting is a plus.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online.
- QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
