About the role

The Bookkeeper will be responsible for computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to maintain complete financial records. They will perform routine tasks such as calculating, posting, and verifying financial data, ensuring accuracy in figures and documents. Additionally, they will handle general office duties, including filing, answering phones, and managing routine correspondence. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and strong attention to detail.

What you"ll do

• Compute, classify, and record numerical data to maintain complete financial records.
• Perform routine calculating, posting, and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data.
• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
• Operate accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
• Reconcile discrepancies in records and report findings.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, answering phones, and handling routine correspondence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years of bookkeeping experience.
• 1-3 years of administrative support experience.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of economic and accounting principles, and financial data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
