Accounting Associate/Admin Position
Whitlock & Company PC is a Certified Public Accounting firm with offices in Alcoa/Maryville and Pigeon Forge, TN. We are looking for an Accounting Associate for our Pigeon Forge office to join our team. The ideal candidate will have three plus years of solid experience, but we would consider a new graduate.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients
- Answer & Return phone calls
- Bind Financial Statements and prepare tax return packages
- Process client payments
- Perform payroll processing, Quarterly and Annual payroll tax returns.
- Prepare monthly sales tax, gross receipt tax and lodging tax returns.
- Prepare monthly invoicing and maintain account receivable records.
- Process accounts payable and reconcile monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
- General ledger and adjusting journal entries for multiple clients.
- Keep up with rules and law changes payroll and local and state taxes.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements.
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail, strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Word, and Excel
- Experience with accounting software such as Quickbooks or Accounting CS
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with multiple clients and prioritize.
