About the Job
Our client, a New Jersey based Accounting firm, has an immediate need for an experienced Bookkeeper, to join their winning team in Cresskill.
Our candidate of choice will have bring extensive experience working within an Accounting firm in addition to great communication skills!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record the day to day financial transactions related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable including but not limited to preparing and sending invoices, recording customer payments, posting vendor invoices and reimbursement requests, preparing weekly check run
- Record cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Collections
- Manage sales tax
- Responsible for invoicing
- Responsible for payroll
- Prepare periodic reconciliations of certain accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Prepare periodic accounting reports as requested by management
- Maintain historical records by filing documents, both paper and computer files
- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable / receivable principles
- Prior QuickBooks experience
- Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels and in any environment in both verbal and written form
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
