Bookkeeper, Accountant or Auditing Clerks - (13209) - InGenesis

InGenesis is currently seeking Bookkeeper, Accountant or Auditing Clerks to work with our client in New York, NY. In this role, you will be working in the NYS Office of College and University Evaluation (OCUE)

Job Duties

· Handling folders physically (lifting and placing them in file cabinets)

· Filing (both physical filing and electronic records filing)

· Updating/managing daily and weekly spreadsheets

· Emailing, scanning and faxing duties

· Reviewing vouchers submitted by vendors for accuracy

· Processing payments in Finance system

· Respond to a high volume of telephone calls, voice mail messages and emails, to effectively manage inquiries from vendors in regards to payments

· Handle incoming mail from vendors, sort ,stamp and process finance related information

· Review Vendor requested payments in Finance system, reach out to Counseling staff to follow up with rating reports

· Additional duties assigned

Minimum Qualifications

· Using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel and Forms

· Knowledge of basic finance, accounting , bookkeeping

· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and data entry

· Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize work assignments and deadlines

· Ability to be flexible work independently with minimal supervision and as a team member

· Previous data entry and data validation experience
