As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our team and support our financial operations.
Position Overview: As our Bookkeeper/Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks. You will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions, maintaining compliance with tax regulations, and supporting our overall financial health. This role will only require 2 hours per month and quarterly closing. Perfect position to work on the side while working full time somewhere else.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly Sales Tax: Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns in compliance with state and local regulations.
- Quarterly Filings: Assist in preparing and filing quarterly tax filings and reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- QuickBooks and Design Manager Software: Utilize QuickBooks Pro Desktop and Design Manager software proficiently to maintain our financial records, generate reports, reconcile accounts, and streamline our financial processes.
- Year-End Reporting: Prepare and coordinate year-end 1099 forms, W-9 forms, and other required reports for submission to our CPA. Assist in compiling year-end financial reports as needed.
- General Accounting Support: Provide support for various accounting and bookkeeping tasks throughout the year, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll processing assistance, and financial analysis.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant, preferably in a similar industry or environment.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Pro Desktop and familiarity with Design Manager software is highly desired.
- Experience in preparing and filing sales tax returns and other tax filings.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members and external partners.
