Location: Hybrid (In-office Monday and Tuesday) - San Diego, CA

Job Overview: The Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in managing our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This position requires a detail-oriented professional who can work both independently and collaboratively, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including the processing of invoices and the preparation of payments.
- Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements on a monthly basis.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and inspections.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial files.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
Employment Type:
- Full-time, Hybrid (Required in-office presence on Monday and Tuesday)
- Compensation: $90,000 - $110,000 base salary
